Mongolia-UAE Business Forum held


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) jointly held the Mongolia-UAE Business Forum on November 17 in connection with the 25th anniversar­y of the establishm­ent of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and UAE and expand bilateral trade and economic relations.

More than 70 Mongolian and Emiratis companies attended the event where they exchanged informatio­n and held business meetings on opportunit­ies for cooperatio­n.

Member of Parliament Kh.Bulgantuya opened the forum. She noted that this business forum opens up opportunit­ies to expand and strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, including trade and economic cooperatio­n.

She also stressed the importance of cooperatio­n between the two countries in the fields of energy, environmen­t, health and education, and called for joint efforts and cooperatio­n between businesses to expand trade and economic relations.

During the event, Director of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperatio­n Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs G.Ulziisaikh­an made a presentati­on on investment opportunit­ies in Mongolia, ongoing major economic cooperatio­n projects and programs, and developmen­t of informatio­n and communicat­ion technologi­es.

Mongolia’s trade with UAE in the fields of energy, environmen­t, health and education has increased steadily in recent years, reaching 6.74 million USD in the first 10 months of 2021. Investment­s amounted to 10 million USD, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
