The Dubai EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai, UAE was ended. The expo, postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19, was organized for 183 days from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 under the slogan “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.

Along with 192 countries, Mongolia has successfully participated in the world-scale exhibition, with more than 350,000 people visiting the Mongolia Pavilion. Many high profile people from countries worldwide, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, toured the pavilion, according to the Ministry of Foreign Relations.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations and Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly organized the Mongolia Pavilion with support from the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Environment and Tourism, National Museum of Mongolia, National Library, Zev Digital Nomadic Museum and Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC.

On top of that, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also visited and got acquainted with the exhibits displayed at the Mongolia Pavilion. He was fascinated by the massive painting “One Day in the World” by artists N.Sergelen, S.Ganzam, Sh.Sainzul and N.Khosbayar and the 495-page “Danjuur Sutra” written in Mongolian script in the 18th century. He noted that Mongolian script looks very similar to the Arabic script. During the expo, a “Mongolian National Day” event and a business forum were hosted in November last year, with 40 Mongolian and 30 UAE entrepreneurs participating and exchanging information.

The pavilion was decorated under the general theme of Dubai EXPO 2020 and featured more than 100 exhibits from the National Museum of Mongolia and National Library, as well as photographs by Mongolian photographers and products of national manufacturers. National producers Anna Cashmere, Sain Tumen Cashmere, Sutain Goyol, Khas Goyol, Montulga Leather Goods, Mergen Tour, Khukh Urlan, Agni, Enkhjin Souvenir, Gobi Goo and other companies participated and showcased samples of their products such as felt products with woolen knots, Asylmura Kazakh crafts, Dora Brand leather bags, puzzle toys from Mon Tu Museum and more.

In addition, the Mongolian pavilion was decorated with photographs by G.Gan-Ulzii, Ch.Batzaya, Bal.Bayar, Ban.Bayar, B.Chadraabal, B.Erdenebulgan and L.Bayandorj.
