Japan to award Ts.Davaadorj and D.Sosorbaram
The government of Japan has announced the list of foreigners to be awarded in the spring of 2022. From Mongolia, Ts.Davaadorj and D.Sosorbaram will receive awards.
State Honored Actor D.Sosorbaram worked as an actor for the State Academic Drama Theater after graduating from the State Teachers’ Training College in 1978 with a degree in film and drama. He participated in the 2007 concert for the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Mongolia and the 2015 Northeast Japan Disaster Relief Concert held in Iwate Prefecture, Japan in 2016. The famous Japanese singer Yashiro Aki was the general director of the concert when the Mongolian actor was appointed as the cultural ambassador of Mongolia to Japan.
In 2019, D.Sosorbaram sang with the Morin Khuur Ensemble at the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Cultural Relations Agreement between the two countries. In recognition of his contribution to the development of friendly relations between the two countries and improving mutual understanding and friendship between Mongolians and Japanese people through song and dance, the Japanese government has decided to confer the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays decoration to D.Sosorbaram.
Ts.Davaadorj, the director of the MongoliaJapan Center for Human Resource Development, graduated from the School of Economics at the National University of Mongolia in 1983. As a professor at the School of Economics at the National University of Mongolia, he taught macroeconomics based on his Japanese experience and gave lectures on Mongolian economics at the Nagoya University and Saitama University in Japan.
After that, he successfully served as the deputy head of the National University of Mongolia. From 2002 to 2011, he worked as the deputy head of the Mongolia-Japan Center, a symbol of Japan-Mongolia relations. He has played a key role in promoting culture and developing human resources in the business sector and has made a significant contribution to the development of mutual understanding and friendly relations between the people of Mongolia and Japan. In appreciation of his contribution to the development of scientific relations and mutual understanding between Japan and Mongolia, he will also receive the Order of the Rising Sun.
