Yanjindulam NGO has launched Beyond the Borders, a charity project that aims to raise funds for children with congenital heart diseases who live in remote areas of Mongolia and are unable to receive the necessary medical care or surgery.

Together Korean artist, Lee Yunjeong with a Indian actor Anupam Tripapti, who rose to fame for his role of Ali in Netflix’s survival drama “Squid Game”, has arrived in Mongolia to join the project and held a press conference about it last week.

Initiator of the Beyond the Borders Project N.Yanjindulam highlighted that they are committed to saving the lives of at least one child who needs a heart surgery urgently.

Tripapti said that he first heard about the charity project from his university friend and decided to join it to protect the lives and health of as many children as possible. He was confident that the project would become a success and raise funds needed for children in need.

The Indian actor based in South Korea mentioned that he has many Mongolian friends and that he views Mongolians as “very warm and friendly people”. This is his first visit to Mongolia, but as he had heard many things from his friends, he said that the country felt “very familiar” to him.

“I wanted to give back something useful to Mongolians in some way because I had received kindness from them before. That’s why I’m happy to be a part of this charity project with my friends to help the children,” Tripapti shared.

South Korean artist Lee Yunjeon said, “I am very happy to participate in a charity campaign in Mongolia through my friend, N.Yangjindulam. It is an honor for me to donate the proceeds from my art exhibition to the medical expenses of children who are unable to undergo emergency surgery. I want all children to grow up healthy.”

The artist plans to launch an exhibition at the National Art Gallery from May 10 to 24.

To date, 10,400 children in 21 provinces need heart surgery, according to the project. The donations raised through the project will be used to perform surgeries on infants and young children in need of urgent medical attention.
