US ambassador pledges to bolster strategic partnership
On Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations B.Munkhjin received Ambassador of the US to Mongolia Richard Buangan.
During the meeting, Buangan expressed that he was delighted to be appointed as the new US ambassador to Mongolia and presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to the deputy foreign minister.
While underscoring that Mongolia attaches great importance to its relations with the US, one of Mongolia’s key “third neighbors” and strategic partners, Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin said he looked forward to working with the ambassador and further expand the Mongolia-US relations and cooperation.
The ambassador said that the US is proud to be an important “third neighbor” to Mongolia while expressing his commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership.
ESTABLISHMENT OF UNIFIED ACCUMULATION FUND DISCUSSED WITH SINGAPORE
On the same day, Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations B.Munkhjin met Non-resident Ambassador of Singapore to Mongolia Eric Teo and discussed bilateral cooperation between the countries.
The sides touched on further deepening cooperation in politics, trade and economy and intensifying regional cooperation.
They also exchanged views on the effective implementation of the works aimed at establishing a unified accumulation fund, completing a civil service reform, developing digital governance, reducing traffic congestion, improving governance of state-owned enterprises and strengthening the capacity of human resources.
During the meeting, the deputy minister emphasized that the works agreed upon during the visit of the Mongolian prime minister to Singapore in July are underway.
