On April 26, Cabinet decided to appoint new Mongolian ambassadors to four countries and submit its request to President U.Khurelsukh.

In specific, the government agreed to withdraw Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Cuba Sh.Battsetseg and replace her with S.Zoljargal. S.Zoljargal is the director of the State Administration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It also proposed to recall Ambassador to Japan D.Batjargal, and appoint former Head of National Development Agency B.Bayarsaikhan. B.Bayarsaikhan studied and worked in Japan and has extensive experience working in companies invested in the country. As for the ambassadors who are about to be recalled, the appointment period is coming to an end.

E.Sarantogos, who was appointed as the ambassador to South Korea last year, will be transferred to Canada, and B.Enkhbat will replace her position. He is the representative of MIAT in South Korea. Current Ambassador to Canada Ya.Ariunbold was appointed in 2018.

Moreover, Sh.Orgil was appointed as the Consul General in Hohhot, China. He worked as the governor of Selenge Province and was released due to health reasons. He was also charged with corruption.

On top of that, Cabinet decided to convey the proposal to withdraw Ambassador O.Dambiinyam. Specifically, according to Parliamentary Resolution No. 43 of 2013, it was decided to restore the operation of the Embassy of Mongolia in Kabul, Afghanistan. Subsequently, in 2014, O.Dambiinyam was appointed as the ambassador to the country. However, the activities of the embassy have not been restored.
