Digitization starts from Customs Department
In accordance with E-Transition national program, Customs General Administration (CGA) has started to introduce the integrated digital registration center on a trial basis from May 1. Here, in the first instance, the registration to be carried out in seven customs control zones of the Customs Administration in Ulaanbaatar city.
In connection with the beginning of ETransition, the CGA discussed the operation of the “Integrated Center for Digital Declaration and Registration”. During this time, the special permits issued by the customs authorities, specifically, obtaining user rights and activities of intermediary organizations, are being digitized on the www.License.mn. Head of the Customs Information Center of CGA B.Ganzorig informed that due to the fact that the function of the quarantine operation has been transferred to the customs office, the digital system has been introduced.
With the introduction of the www.Gaali. mn, the customs authority is providing 13 services to citizens and 33 services to enterprises, companies, and organizations in electronic form. In addition, the customs authority is introducing an integrated contract registration and goods registration system in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Authority. It is now possible to register and control all the goods and products entering the borders of Mongolia, up to the final consumer, and all the remaining goods and products that are sold and unsold. Furthermore, it is also used for the purpose of ensuring national security, knowing where and through which channel the goods and products entering Mongolia are being purchased.
