SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS INSTALLED AT “PARTIZAN STREET”

-

The “Green Zone” project was initiated by GPD in 2022. As a result, there was a positive indicator of a 48.6 percent decrease in emergency calls for crimes and violations in the district. This time, the subproject “Green Street” was implemented at Partizan Street in the fourth and fifth khoroos of Sukhbaatar District with the support of governmental and non-governmental organizations, enterprises, and citizens. The street covers a total area of 4.2 hectares, and 15 private sector enterprises operate in addition to government organizations such as the Independent Agency Against Corruption, the Ulaanbaatar Emergency Management Department, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the School No. 11, and the Kindergarten No 1. There were a total of 18 surveillance cameras on Partizan Street, but seven of them were non-functional and substandard. Therefore, surveillance cameras have been qualified as part of the sub-project. Also, 26 new surveillance cameras have been installed. As a result, a total of 44 surveillance cameras are working on the street. With the full operation of these surveillance cameras, conditions have been created to ensure the safety of about 2,000 citizens who study at schools and kindergartens, and work in government and non-government organizations and enterprises. The surveillance cameras of the “Green Street” project have an important effect on the prevention of crimes and violations, the search for missing persons and children, and the detection of registered crimes and violations, according to GPD.
