Se­nior Gen­eral Min Aung Hlaing meets with Thai Prime Min­is­ter

A Myan­mar mil­i­tary del­e­ga­tion led by the Com­man­der-in-Chief of De­fence Ser­vices, Se­nior Gen­eral Min Aung Hlaing, ar­rived in Thai­land on 27 Au­gust to at­tend the 3rd Thai­land-Myan­mar High Level Com­mit­tee Meet­ing the Myawady Daily re­ported on 28 Au­gust

The del­e­ga­tion met with Prime Min­is­ter Gen­eral Prayut Chan-ocha and dis­cussed the Myan­mar re­forms process and co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the two coun­tries. The Thai Prime Min­is­ter also said he hoped in­dus­trial zones would be opened soon and co­op­er­a­tion would be speeded up re­gard­ing the reg­is­tra­tion of Myan­mar mi­grant work­ers.

Se­nior Gen­eral Min Aung Hlaing also called on Gen­eral Prem Tin­su­lanonda, Head of the Privy Coun­cil of the King of Thai­land. Their dis­cus­sions fo­cused on mat­ters re­lated to co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the two coun­tries for sta­bil­ity and de­vel­op­ment, Myan­mar’s de­moc­ra­ti­za­tion process, and col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the gov­ern­ment and the two armed forces the re­port said.
