Nay Pyi Taw Investor Forum to Look at Election Impact on 2016
An investment forum will take place in Nay Pyi Taw in the middle of September, sponsored by the business magazine Euromoney.
The Euromoney Myanmar Global Investment Forum is expected to be attended by more than 800 potential investors from home and abroad.
Themes to be discussed during the two-day event September 15-16 include Myanmar’s 2016 business outlook following the general elections.
“Myanmar has witnessed a rush of economic reforms and foreign investments but the pace has begun to slow in anticipation of the upcoming general elections,” Euromoney said.
Other topics for discussion are liberalising the banking sector, energy needs, natural resources and mining, agriculture and tourism.
