National Water Resources Committee organizes coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw
The coordination meeting of the National Water Resources Committee was held in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Nay Pyi Taw on January 30, reported the state-run newspaper The Global New Light of Myanmar. During the occasion, Myanmar’s Vice President Henry Van Thio, also Chairman of the National Water Resources Committee, said further attention into how the country disposes of wastewater should be prioritized. “Water is an essential resource for living creatures and living things, and all need to prevent this resource from becoming a danger to both due to the conduct of humans. Emphasis need to be placed on the matter of wastewater disposal”, the Vice President was quoted as saying. In 2017, the National Water Resources Committee could successfully host the Third Asia-Pacific Water Summit.
