Union Par­lia­ment ses­sion held in Nay Pyi Taw

The seventh reg­u­lar ses­sion of the Union Par­lia­ment held its eighth-day meet­ing in Nay Pyi Taw on Fe­bru­ary 16, re­ported the state-run news­pa­per The Global New Light of Myan­mar. Dur­ing the ses­sion, a re­port on find­ings and com­ments of the Joint Bill Com­mit­tee on the Na­tional Plan­ning Bill for the six-month pe­riod from April to Septem­ber 2018 was read and ex­plained by the Joint Bill Com­mit­tee Deputy Chair­per­son Tun Tun Hein. Then, the law­mak­ers who want to dis­cuss the ba­sic prin­ci­ple of the bill had to en­rol their names. Sim­i­larly, re­ports on find­ings and com­ments of the Joint Bill Com­mit­tee and the Pub­lic Ac­counts Joint Com­mit­tee on the 2018 Union Bud­get Bill were read by of­fi­cials of the two com­mit­tees, and the law­mak­ers who want to dis­cuss the Union Bud­get Bill en­rolled their names. Af­ter that, Myan­mar’s plan to get a loan from the Ja­pan In­ter­na­tional Co­op­er­a­tion Agency for small and medium en­ter­prise de­vel­op­ment project (phase 2) was dis­cussed by the law­mak­ers.
