Union Parliament session held in Nay Pyi Taw
The seventh regular session of the Union Parliament held its eighth-day meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on February 16, reported the state-run newspaper The Global New Light of Myanmar. During the session, a report on findings and comments of the Joint Bill Committee on the National Planning Bill for the six-month period from April to September 2018 was read and explained by the Joint Bill Committee Deputy Chairperson Tun Tun Hein. Then, the lawmakers who want to discuss the basic principle of the bill had to enrol their names. Similarly, reports on findings and comments of the Joint Bill Committee and the Public Accounts Joint Committee on the 2018 Union Budget Bill were read by officials of the two committees, and the lawmakers who want to discuss the Union Budget Bill enrolled their names. After that, Myanmar’s plan to get a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency for small and medium enterprise development project (phase 2) was discussed by the lawmakers.
