Cham­bers of Ja­pan and Myan­mar sign MoU for eco­nomic co­op­er­a­tion

The Ja­pan Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try in Myan­mar (JCCM) and the Union of Myan­mar Fed­er­a­tion of Cham­bers of Com­merce and In­dus­try (UMFCCI) signed an MoU to boost eco­nomic ties and de­vel­op­ment at the Park Royal Ho­tel in Yan­gon on Fe­bru­ary 14, ac­cord­ing to news re­ports. Yan­gon Re­gion Chief Min­is­ter Phyo Min Thein, JCCM chair­man Kat­suji Nak­a­gawa, UMFCCI chair­man Zaw Min Win, Ja­panese Am­bas­sador Tateshi Higuchi, and other of­fi­cials at­tended the cer­e­mony to sign the MoU. The pact aims to boost bi­lat­eral trade, in­vest­ment, in­for­ma­tion and tech­nol­ogy ex­change, hu­man re­source and in­fras­truc­tural de­vel­op­ment. Dur­ing the cer­e­mony, the JCCM chair­man Kat­suji Nak­a­gawa said they were ea­ger to co­op­er­ate with Myan­mar busi­nesses for ben­e­fits of the two coun­tries.
