Myanmar to hold international agrimach expo
Myanmar plans to hold an international agrimach expo in Yangon early March to display agro equipment, latest innovation in technology, fertilizer and input, reported the state-run newspaper the Global New Light of Myanmar. The agrimach expo is scheduled for March 1 to 3. It will be joined by exhibitors from Japan, Italy, Switzerland, India, China, South Korea and Thailand, the Myanmar Paddy Producers Association (MPPA) was quoted as saying. These countries will showcase items such as farm equipment, value-adding technology, agro-products and input, said MPPA, which is the organizer of the expo. The aim of the expo is to mark Myanmar Peasants' Day falling on March 2 and help build connections with international participants, hold demonstrations, business-to-business matching and display latest agro-based machinery, reported the newspaper. In addition, educative talks, and seminars will be attached to the expo. The expo will feature 80 stalls from 40 local and foreign companies.
