In­dian man se­verely in­jured in Myan­mar landmine blast

A36-year-old In­dian man be­long­ing to the Chakma com­mu­nity was se­verely in­jured Mon­day af­ter he wan­dered into Myan­mar and stepped on a landmine, ac­cord­ing to an NDTV

re­port. The in­ci­dent oc­curred in the jun­gle near the Indo-Myan­mar bor­der's bound­ary pil­lar num­ber two. The man along with two others, all res­i­dents of Bang­duk­banga vil­lage, wan­dered into Myan­mar while look­ing for food. He was se­verely in­jured when a landmine ex­ploded af­ter he ac­ci­den­tally stepped on it. The man lost his right leg in the blast.
