Myan­mar to hold AI con­test

Myan­mar will hold Cloud and AI (Ar­ti­fi­cial In­tel­li­gence) con­test na­tion­wide for the first time on Septem­ber 7, Xin­hua re­ported cit­ing a press con­fer­ence. Supported by Huawei Myan­mar, the Cloud and AI con­test will be jointly or­ga­nized by Myan­mar Rec­tors' Committee, Myan­mar Com­puter Fed­er­a­tion (MCF) and the Re­search and In­no­va­tion Depart­ment un­der the Ed­u­ca­tion Min­istry. The con­test in­tends to nur­ture Myan­mar youths, to pro­vide tal­ents for in­com­ing technology wave as well as to bridge Myan­mar to AI world, said the press con­fer­ence. "In the fu­ture, we no­tice that AI will be part of our life and that is why we need to un­der­stand AI abil­ity and ca­pac­ity as well as to ap­ply AI to our coun­try. We are happy to par­tic­i­pate in or­ga­niz­ing such con­test," Zaw Wai Soe, chair­man of Myan­mar Rec­tors' Committee, was quoted as say­ing. The con­test al­lows Myan­mar stu­dents from univer­si­ties across the coun­try to sub­mit projects cov­er­ing agri­cul­tural, ed­u­ca­tion, health­care and other busi­ness ar­eas.
