In­dian army gives 10 SUVs to Myan­mar mil­i­tary

The In­dian Army has handed over 10 mil­i­tary-spec Tata Sa­fari Storme SUVs to the Myan­mar Army. The ve­hi­cles were handed over by the In­dian Am­bas­sador to Myan­mar, fi­nan­cial­ex­press.com re­ported.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­cent tweet by ANI, the de­liv­ery of the ve­hi­cles was promised to the Myan­mar Com­man­der-in-Chief by the In­dian Army Chief Gen­eral Bipin Rawat in his re­cent visit to In­dia.

The Tata Sa­fari Storme is set to re­place the age­ing Maruti Suzuki Gypsy which will be re­moved from the In­dian Army's fleet in a phased man­ner due to up­com­ing safety and emis­sion reg­u­la­tions which the Gypsy is not go­ing to meet.
