Dig­i­tal Lit­er­acy, On­line Safety and Re­silience Project to be launched

Te­lenor Myan­mar and Plan In­ter­na­tional have part­nered to launch a na­tion­wide Dig­i­tal Lit­er­acy, On­line Safety and Re­silience Project, tele­com­pa­per re­ported. The 2-year ini­tia­tive aims to ed­u­cate 740,000 youths aged 10 to 18 on on­line safety, and re­spon­si­ble use of in­ter­net, as well as de­velop their dig­i­tal skills. Te­lenor and Plan also plan to work to in­te­grate dig­i­tal safety con­tent into the na­tional cur­ricu­lum, with the ap­proval of Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion.

Myan­mar is one of the seven coun­tries cov­ered by a 3-year global part­ner­ship agree­ment be­tween Plan In­ter­na­tional and the Te­lenor Group, an­nounced in Septem­ber 2018 at the United Na­tions Gen­eral Assem­bly in New York.
