Au­thor­i­ties seize nar­cotics

Myan­mar au­thor­i­ties seized a haul of nar­cotics in­clud­ing ICE and stim­u­lant tablets in Myan­mar's Yan­gon re­gion in sin­gle day, Xinhua re­ported.

On Satur­day, 1.04 kilo­grams of metham­phetamine (ICE) worth over 104 mil­lion ky­ats (69,333 U.S. dol­lars), 45 stim­u­lant tablets and re­lated ma­te­ri­als were con­fis­cated in Mayan­gone town­ship of Yan­gon, 4,000 stim­u­lant tablets were seized from two mo­tor­cy­cles in Htantabin town­ship of Yan­gon re­gion, 124,200 stim­u­lant tablets worth 621 mil­lion ky­ats (414,000 U.S. dol­lars), on Sh­webo-My­itky­ina road in In­daw town­ship, Sa­gaing re­gion, and 50,000 stim­u­lant tablets were found on a mo­tor­cy­cle, in Mong Yawng town­ship, Shan state.

A to­tal of nine sus­pects have been charged.
