Suzuki’s Baleno is a car for the individual
The 2020 Suzuki Baleno 1.4l is a car that reflects your personal drive and your personal pace while offering you a low, wide design that gives you a sense of constant movement, even when you’re standing still.
Available from Auas Motors, which acquired Namibia’s Suzuki franchise in August this year, the Baleno is described as a car for the individual because the attention to detail inside and out reflects the true personality of its driver.
At Auas Motors the Baleno comes with a five year or 200 000km warranty and with a four year or 60 000km service plan.
The Baleno comes in a standard GL model with manual transmission and a GLX top of the range model that is available in both manual and automatic transmissions.
According to Suzuki Brand Ambassador, Charl Oosthuizen, all Baleno models will be available at a special price until the end of November.
This means that until the end of November you can get the Baleno GL for N$200 000 (previous prices was N$221 900), the Baleno manual transmission for N$235 000 (previously N$259 900) and the Baleno automatic transmission for only N$250 000 (previously N$274 900).
The Baleno’s 1.4 litre engine is designed to maximise energy efficiency and increase running power.
The intake VVT, cylinder head, and piston crowns are designed to keep fuel economy at an optimum, enhanced and supported by a great aerodynamic body, which many say is Suzuki’s most aerodynamic body ever.
Keyless entry with push start is another extraordinary feature that makes the Baleno the perfect ride.
The Baleno is available in a 5-speed manual transmission, with a smooth and precise shift feel and optimal gear ratios that benefit fuel economy. A 4-speed automatic transmission is available for the GLX grade.
Both preventative and collision safety
features are designed to mitigate injury in case of an accident and give drivers and passengers an added layer of safety. These features include ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), and energy absorbing body, pedestrian protection and multiple airbags.
The Anti-Lock Braking Systems keeps tyres from locking during a sudden, hard brake and adds stability to evasive manoeuvres. With Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) balancing out the front and rear wheels, braking stability has never been better.
One of the most attractive aspects of the Baleno is the 7-inch touchscreen display (GLX) which enables intuitive operation of multimedia features including audio, hands-free phone, and smartphone integration. Features can be selected from the four main operating modes, namely Listen, Call, Drive and Connect.
The Smartphone Linkage Display Audio works with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink. By connecting your compatible iPhone via USB, Apple CarPlay
allows you to make phone calls, access your music, send and receive messages, and get directions all by voice command or a tap on the audio display.
Android Auto puts Google Maps, Google Search and other Google services at the driver’s fingertips in a non-distracting way. Mirrorlink lets various applications on your smartphone appear on the vehicle’s touchscreen display, allowing you to access your smartphone’s features.
The Baleno, rated best-in-class 355 litre luggage storage capacity, extends its luxury offerings with a reliable cruise control system (GLX) that provides a new level of convenience, especially when driving on highways. Set your speed, and keep moving effortlessly, efficiently, and with an energetic undercurrent that will keep the thrills coming.
With a body-length of only 3 995mm, the interior is incredibly spacious. The rear seats offer plenty of leg room and shoulder room and even adults can ride comfortably in the back.
