Samaria gunning for maximum points

-

Brave Warriors interim coach Bobby Samaria says there will be no room for a halfhearted performance against the Eagles of Mali when they meet tomorrow, as the main objective is to collect maximum points in order to ease pressure ahead of the second leg.

Namibia takes on Mali tomorrow for the first leg of their 2021 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier clash in Bamako, and the return leg is scheduled for Windhoek on 17 November at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.

Speaking to the Namibia Football Association ( NFA) media desk, an optimistic Samaria expressed delight with the blending of his 25-man squad and with the experience the foreignbased players bring to the team.

“We need to apply ourselves correctly in the moments of play. We believe in ourselves and we come here to make sure we don’t lose the match. The players will give their all. Deon [Hotto] had a stellar game on Sunday against Kaizer Chiefs and got the man of the match award and his confidence will come in handy, as we, all know what he can do. Ryan [Nyambe] plays at a different and highest level and he’s strong and speedy, and given the game we expect, these players fit the bill perfectly. They will bring a different dimension,” said Samaria. - NFA
