April congratulates Khoza on re-election
Namibia’s leading football players agent Collin April has sent a congratulatory message to Irvin Khoza for being re-elected unopposed as chairman of South Africa’s National Soccer League (NSL) at its recent Quadrennial General Meeting (QGM) held in Johannesburg.
Khoza, who is also the current chairman of the Premier Soccer League (PSL), was re-elected to lead South African premiership football for another four years.
Over the last couple of years, April has fostered a good relationship with the South African football heavyweight, who also doubles as chairman of Orlando Pirates. April equally enjoys great relations with that country’s football great the legendary Jomo Sono, owner of Jomo Cosmos.
April, himself a renowned businessman at Namibia’s coastal town of Walvis Bay, remains Namibia’s top players agent and is the mastermind behind tons of lucrative moves by Namibian footballers to the South African premier league and first division.
Some of his exports are Rudolf Bester, Richard Gariseb, Zico Paulus Shaningayamwe, Sidney Plaatjies, Paulus Shipanga, Danzyl Bruwer, Tertius Uiseb, Hendrik Somaeb, Quinton Jacobs, Ananias Gebhardt, Denzil Haoseb, Hartman Toromba and many others.
“Dr Khoza is without doubt one of the smartest football administrators in the business and has turned the PSL into one of the best leagues on the continent. He’s very passionate about the game and fully understands what’s needed to make football beautiful and presents an attractive product to everyone, including the sponsors, hence his unopposed election,” said April.
April added that he had the privilege of working closely with him and must admit he has learned pretty much from his wisdom.
“He would always remind me that I should continue to do the best for my country and help those in need with my God-given talent. I’m looking forward to keep working with him in the future and would like to congratulate his fellow executive committee members as well.”
