Racehorse Crucreek on Saturday won the 1 400m open division of the Standard Bank Alex Angermund Handicap held at Rehoboth by the Khomas Turf Club.

Crucreek finished ahead of second-placed Chief Black Horse followed by Rockhamton Rocket in third place and Starlile in fourth place.

In the Nambred 1 400m maiden/ graduation category, Right Win took top honours and left second place to Dream Girl and third place to Silver Son. In the 1 800m D-Division, Twin Peak was the winner followed by Jet Apostle in second place and Man Tracker in third spot.

One Kiss won the 1 800m graduation category and was followed by Here’s The Master in second place and Bold Vision in third position, while the highly competitiv­e 1 800m maidens category was won by Honest Illusion, who was closely followed by Sufi Sama in second place and Gitano Jet in third.

In the 1 000m A-Division, Don Pierro took first place and was trailed by Rockley Beach in second place and third place went to Rockhampto­n Rocket. In the 1 000m D-Division, Burundi finished tops ahead of Bohemia and Mantracker, who both ended second and third respective­ly.

In the Nambred D/A Division, Leeuloop emerged victorious and was followed by veteran racehorse Von Trotha in second place and Freedom Fighter in third place. Nan won the 1 000m graduation category and was closely followed by Chief Black Horse and Crucreek in third position, while Here’s The Master finished fourth.

Honest Illusion was in the thick of things when it won the 1 000m maiden category, followed by Sufi Sama in second place and Promising of All in third place, while Flames are Flying secured fourth place.

In the Nambred maiden/ graduation division, Dream Girl finished top and was followed by Omukuejuva in second place and Right Win in third place. The Nambred 1 000m beginners’ category was won by Empirior and saw No Name and Cut a Corner finishing in second and third places respective­ly.

The Nambred D/A Division saw Leeuloop taking pole position and was followed by Von Trotha in second place and Freedom Fighter in third, while the 2 000m A-Division went to Don Pierro, and Newton’s Spark and Rockley Beach both delivered superb performanc­es to take second and third places respective­ly.
