Tigers Netball Club head coach, Morné Pienaar said teamwork aided them to a victory against Namibia Navy Netball Club during the MTC Namibia Netball Premier League (NNPL) in Kuisebmond on Saturday.

Tigers, who are now on top of the log with ten points after five matches, beat Navy 48-38.

Speaking to yesterday, Pienaar said that it was a tough game at the beginning but after thoroughly talking to the girls during halftime, they managed to regroup and snatch a win against a stubborn Navy side.

“It was a tough encounter where both teams were showing potential. We had a few mistakes that we made in the first half but during the break, I went to talk to the girls and we came back and fought as a team until we got the points. I think working as a team helped us to continue with that impressive run,” he said. Heading forward, the coach said they will approach all games as they come, to ensure they remain on course in the league.

“We will just take every game as it comes, so at this point, we will just go back and continue working on them, so that we continue with the same performance in the premier league,” he added.

Elsewhere, Grootfontein collected maximum points against Dollar Stars (39-36), while Mighty Gunners thrashed Rundu Chiefs by 68-12.
