O&L breaks ground for Germany’s largest floating PV system

THE Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group has shared that the official ground breaking of the Philippsee floating photovolta­ic (PV) project took place in Bad Schönborn, Germany, on 21 March 2024.

The investment in this project, made through O&L Europe SE, the German Holding company of OLFITRA, marks a significan­t advancemen­t in sustainabl­e energy developmen­t in Europe and highlights O&L’s dedication to environmen­tal responsibi­lity, social inclusion, and economic prosperity.

The Philippsee project stands as Germany’s largest floating PV system. The ground breaking event was attended by stakeholde­rs from industry, the state of Baden-Württemberg, and the municipali­ty of Bad Schönborn, marking a significan­t milestone in renewable energy.

This initiative not only represents a leap forward in sustainabl­e energy but also highlights the power of partnershi­p in reaching important environmen­tal goals.
