The flock of sheep!

-

Are we human being or the flock of sheep? Are we the Nepali citizens of the 21st century or just the animals moving around as per the wish of the cowboys! There is rampant exploitation of the country’s resources by a group of political leaders turn by turn. They have done nothing for the country, still, we, the people of the 21st century, are blindly supporting such corrupt leaders and electing them again and again.

In this communist regime, there are not much good government or community hospitals for the middle class and low-class people. Political leaders go abroad for their treatment. Presently, NCP DahalNepal faction’s leader and former prime minister Jhalanath Khanal returned from Delhi after his treatment. Janata Samajbadi Party’s leader and former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai is in Delhi for treatment. Earlier, Pushpakamal Dahal had gone to India for his wife Sita's treatment. They feel proud while going to foreign countries for treatment. They don’t trust local hospitals. What should we expect from such leaders who are happy to go to foreign countries for their treatment by spending the government coffer! Nepal could establish good hospitals if the political leaders would have stopped going abroad for treatment.

There is another reason to travel to Delhi. During their stay in Delhi for treatment, the leaders are found roaming around the doors of the Indian leaders begging their blessings for empowering them (Nepali leaders) in Nepal. In such a manner, the Nepali leaders are inviting the Indian intervention in Nepali politics.

In the recent past, Pushpakamal Dahal, chairman of the Nepal Communist Party Dahal-Nepal faction publicly begged support of the international community for their intervention in support of his move against the present KP Sharma Oli led government. The leaders are not hesitated to invite foreign intervention just for their personal gains. Even by knowing all these facts, why are we running behind their leadership, it is very much surprising! People are found expressing their utter dissatisfaction in social networks, including newspapers, against the petroleum products price hike. The government is found collecting 105 percent additional money per litre of petro-products. We are aware that since the introduction of the federal system, the general expenditure of the country has been massively inclined. To meet the expenditure, the government has no other options except for imposing taxes on the citizens. We are lauding for federalism and also opposing heavy taxation. Why don’t we put pressure on the government to remove the federal structure? Why don’t we put pressure on the government to stop paying salary and allowances to the people’s representatives? Why don’t we put pressure on the political leaders to reduce general or say non-productive expenditure? In the past, the total members of the House of representatives were 205. Why did we need to increase the number? Why did we need to introduce the mechanism of proportional election by giving an opportunity to the leaders to elect their own wives and girlfriends? There is no need for such a huge lower and upper house in the federal government; there is no need for the province assembly and there is no need for the district coordinating committees constituted by paying monthly salary to the people’s representatives. There is a saying in Nepali that try eating bones by considering the size of the throat. It is the subject of a laugh among the foreigners that Nepal, a tiny country, has introduced seven provinces!

Still, a section of political leaders, who are serving foreign interests, are advocating for the very system which has not been able to function in Nepal! In fact, they are intended to declare Nepal a failed state. A more surprising issue is that our intellectuals, educated youth and followers of the political parties are unable to express the reality and oppose their political leaders who are guiding them towards the wrong track! Many INGOs are working in the country. They are here to destroy Nepali culture, tradition, religion and social harmony. A selected group of leaders and intellectuals are working for them in the mission of destroying our society. Namely, Pushpakamal Dahal, Baburam Bhattarai, Gagan Thapa, Prakashsharan Mahat, Krishna Shitaula, Damannath Dhungana, Upendra Yadav, Bidhyadhar Mallik, Stela Tamang, Bishnu Sapkota, Khagendra Shangraula, CK Lal and many others have been assigned here by different foreign agencies to destroy our society. Still, our youth and party workers are ready to follow these people who are involved in mercenary activities!

We believe, without cleaning the garbage dumped by the vested foreign interests groups, we cannot make the country prosperous and to clean the garbage, the present political system has to be abandoned. Moreover, those, who are running behind the leaders serving foreign interests, should think that whether they are heading towards the right path or not! They should be able to find a difference between a sheep and a human being.
