Congress Prepares for Mahasamiti
The Nepali Congress Party which is still in a tizzy over its abrupt loss of power has seemingly begun to awaken to the prevailing realities and to gird up for action. From all available indicators at this time, it would seem that it has begun also to prepare for the oft-postponed Mahasammati meeting slated to open in Pokhara on March 5, where, according to general expectations, the party is to take disciplinary action against a whole slew of dissidents, including those who opposed official party candidates at the November 15 polls, and to adopt a new constitution and set a date for the next national convention.
