Aimless journey

The political parties are unveiling their election manifestos but the voters believe that they are just fake documents produced to make fool the voters. Some of the voters have questioned how many of the things written in the election manifestos in the previous elections have been fulfilled or if the concerned party leaders tried to fulfil them! When the very faces have unveiled new election manifestos, the voters have not shown a desire to read them as they are just for fooling the voters. When the Nepali Congress unveiled its election manifesto, voters reacted that it is very much ambitious. They have questioned where they provide jobs when they have already sold the government-run industries! They have even commented that maybe the party is going to send youths to the Gulf countries by stating that they are providing jobs for Nepali youths. Already, the country is burdening loans worth 220 billion rupees and 170 billion rupees worth of trade deficit in a year. There are no alternatives to improve the nation’s economy. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba himself is saying that it has become difficult to manage the salary of the civil servicemen. In such a worst situation, when we read the party manifestos, it seems, they are not serious about the country’s worst economic scenario. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s wife Dr Arju Deuba and Unified Socialist Party’s chair Madhav Nepal have publicly expressed their commitment to managing free visas and free tickets for the youths going for abroad jobs. Understandably, the hidden mission of the leaders is to send all the youths to the Gulf countries and welcome the Indian citizens by offering them Nepali citizenship. If we elect the same people, again and again, we cannot see economic prosperity in the country. We may see rampant foreign intervention, a serious threat to national sovereignty and independence. The nation is spending billions of rupees for conducting elections, meanwhile, the cheaters have developed electoral syndicates for securing their victory. The former prime minister and UML chair, K.P. Sharma Oli, who has also developed an alliance with RPP and other small parties, has alleged the five-party ruling alliance as the gang of the nation’s traitors and to stop those traitors, he has urged people to vote for the patriotic parties. Meanwhile, the ruling alliance is justifying their electoral alliance to safeguard the present constitution, and glorious achievements and for an offensive move of the nation. Not odd, we have experienced what is an offensive move, what are the glorious achievements and what are the benefits of the present constitution. Indeed, the majority of the people are against the present federalism, secularism and republicanism. If the present system will be continued, the nation may face a serious accident ending the glorious history of Nepal and the Nepalis!
