MCC and talks in Malta

On September 16 and 17, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held several rounds of talks with US National Security Adviser Sullivan, in Malta. No matter how China and the US talk, the theme is containment and countercontainment.

The American obsession is that America will not be safe if China grows. China's obsession is that it will lose security if it stops developing.

During the talks in Malta, Wang Yi advised Sullivan that China's development has a strong internal driving force, which follows the inevitable historical logic and cannot be stopped, and the Chinese people's legitimate right to development cannot be deprived.

If Mr. Sullivan were a straight shooter, he would respond this way, "If 1.4 billion Chinese live like Americans, it would be a disaster for the planet, so we in the US must contain China."

This is a true quote from President Obama. It has become the national creed of the US. If the US succeeds in containing China under the guidance of such an obsession, then it will not be long before the US says to India, "If 1.4 billion Indians live like Americans, it will be a disaster for the planet, so we must contain India."

To put it bluntly, if the US strategy to contain China is successful, it will have to be applied to India next, because 1.4 billion Indians no doubt want to live as well as Americans. If China cannot withstand US containment, how can India?

In my humble opinion, the layout of the US in Nepal is first aimed at China and then at India. Imagine that in the context of China and India being contained and then falling apart, Nepal will be able to strut its way to prosperity because of the layout of the US in Nepal, such as sending that big gift MCC. Only a madman would believe that.
