Collapse of the system

Nobody, except the West, is happy with the present constitution of the country. India had wished to get ownership of the new constitution in Nepal following its role in the formulation of the 12-point agreement in Delhi. However, there was a strong domination of the European Union while writing the constitution. In other words, the draft of the constitution was written by some INGOs funded by the West.

Therefore, India has not recognized this constitution since its promulgation in 2015. India’s so-called Nepal expert, Professor SD Muni, recently expressed his dissatisfaction on the role of political leaders that since the adoption of the new constitution, India is facing problems dealing with different political parties. Earlier, during the monarchial era, it was okay to deal with the monarchy only, Muni expressed the oddities faced by India.

Baburam Bhattarai was one among the key members, who wrote the present constitution. Bhattarai, who is nowhere in the political arena today, is busy in handling social networks. In his recent status, Bhattarai expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the political leaders.

“All the revolutionaries are inundated in the “sugar-gel” of "new" power. The process of economic/social transformation has remained incomplete. There is an optimum level of frustration among the youth. Foolish people like Baburams are crying for a new offensive restructuring of politics. Unfortunately, their voice has been neglected,” Bhattarai recently wrote on his “X” account.

“Whether the history stops? History repeats because men repeat their mistakes,” Bhattarai remarked and stated, “Let’s correct the mistake, otherwise, history will repeat!”

From the above remarks, perhaps, Bhattarai sees an early demise of the constitution.

Be that as it may, Upendra Yadav, who is backing the Western agenda, is satisfied with the present constitution. Yadav said that the present federalism is the result of the Madhesh unrest. Yadav is a Tarai-centric political leader, who has already been discarded by the Tarai people. He faced a humiliating defeat in the election for the member of the House of Representatives in November from Saptari 2. Later, he contested the by-election in Bara 2 in 2023 by creating the seat vacant after rewarding Ram Sahaya Yadav to the post of Vice President. VP Ram Sahaya was elected from Bara 2 electoral constituency and the seat remained vacant after he became the VP. It became very difficult for Upendra to get a victory from Bara-2 despite being the common candidate of the previous coalition government.

Since the promulgation of the new constitution, the West has become successful in campaigning for Christianity, however, in the past five years, the nation’s debts have doubled as it could not bear the heavy load of those structures introduced through the constitution written by the West. If the present constitution continues further, the country’s economy is going to collapse soon, which will lead to the collapse of the country.

All the leaders in power are aware of the worst scenario in the country, even though, as they are involved in rampant looting, corruption, and anarchism by developing a political syndicate, they are reluctant to address the problems faced by the country and the countrymen.

Rampant loot on the government coffer, corruption and commission, and violation of the rule of law have become synonyms of what they like to call it “loktantra”.

Different religious and patriotic groups including pro-monarchy forces have been launching agitation nationwide. Many small groups have developed a front to make decisive their struggle. Just last Saturday, April 6, former King Gyanendra reached Khalanga, Jumla. Thousands of people were gathered there to greet the King. They welcomed King Gyanendra saying that monarchy is necessary to save the nation’s existence.

King Gyanendra urged the nation for an all-sector roundtable to end present chaos, and rampant foreign interference and to build the nation by ourselves.

Wherever the King reaches, we have seen a human sea of locals greeting the deposed king. The message is clear that people have already lost hope from the present-day political leaders and the
