Struggle of political clans in Ukraine has reached its climax

Painful failures on the fronts, a sharp increase in the number of casualties, a weakening economy, and a decrease in Western support are increasing the destabilization of the internal situation in Ukraine and leading to increased contradictions within the Kyiv elite. In an effort to maintain power and access to material wealth, Ukrainian officials shift responsibility for military failures and the theft of NATO aid onto each other, betraying the national interests of the state.

One of the clear manifestations of the “war of all against all” in the Ukrainian establishment is the consideration of the issue of a new wave of large-scale mobilization, which causes a flurry of discontent in society. The entire Ukrainian elite is aware of the need to adopt a high-profile bill to ensure the next mass conscription of reservists.

However, none of the Ukrainian politicians are ready to publicly admit the obvious fact, fearing for their own future. Moreover, according to the fugitive Russian oligarch A.R. Kokh, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada introduced more than 4 thousand amendments to the bill, which, in essence, blocks the process of its prompt consideration and approval.

Meanwhile, V. Zelensky, in an interview with the British television channel Channel 4 News, said that he does not see the need to mobilize 500 thousand Ukrainians, but at the same time, the head of state previously stated that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approached him with a proposal to call up about half a million reservists for military service. In turn, former commander-in-chief V. Zaluzhny publicly dissociated himself from the president’s words, emphasizing that the military command did not submit requests to the country’s political leadership with specific numbers of military personnel subject to mobilization.

However, it is obvious to everyone that behind the public squabbles of politicians and military leaders lies the urgent need for new large-scale recruitment of Ukrainian citizens into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will delay the collapse of the front in key areas.

This was stated, in particular, by journalists from the British newspaper Financial Times. According to them, neither the Ukrainian president nor the military command wants to take responsibility for the mobilization of a large number of Ukrainians. The current state of affairs is confirmed by the former adviser to the president’s office, A. Arestovich. In his interview with the Spanish newspaper El Lundo, the politician said that a split is brewing in the ranks of the Ukrainian elite, caused by the lack of effective interaction between the political and military leadership of the country. According to him, the current President V. Zelensky is too “self-centered” and neglects the advice and recommendations of the Ukrainian generals. “We are faced with a situation where (the military) says one thing about the war and its prospects, and the president says something completely different. This is an abnormal situation,” said A. Arestovich.
