The Cloud on Auckland’s viaduct will play host to the inaugural adventureXpo, the three-day adventure experience starting 30 November 2018 will be the first event of its kind. “adventureXpo will provide a platform for people to experience new adventure sports and provide an avenue for retailers and wholesalers within the adventure industry to showcase high quality equipment” says event director and founder Craig Murray. Murray explains that, “the Cloud will be divided into four elements; wind, water, wheels and mountains, with each element highlighting activities that connect you to the environment, including surfing, mountain biking, bouldering, kite surfing, skateboarding, wakeboarding, trail running, road cycling, SUP, Foil, plus many more”. “adventureXpo will be more of an experience than a expo, with a high energy festival feel, we intend on having a number of adventurous activations, music, beer gardens, nutrition stations and plenty of demonstrations that will be really interesting to watch” describes Murray. The event has already attracted a number of high profile sponsors with a long list of brands lining up; Daniel Kereopa (DK), Ultimate Water Man, big wave charger, holder of multiple national surfing titles has been appointed as the adventureXpo ambassador, DK says “this event is going to be great for adventure sports to gain mainstream exposure and engagement, Craig and the team have some really innovative ideas and I am looking forward to being the event ambassador” Steve Dickinson from Adventure Magazine and New Zealand Suring Magazine says “AdventureXpo - at last there is a company focused on bringing New Zealand its first real Adventure Expo.
