HAVE YOUR SAY ON PLAY
Aucklanders are invited to have their say on how the region invests in play over the next 20 years to ensure services and facilities meet the needs of a growing population. Auckland Council will review submissions before developing the an ‘‘investing in play plan’’, which will set out Auckland’s investment framework and priorities for play now and in the future. Councillor Penny Hulse said play was an important focus for council. Currently, council predominantly invests in playgrounds but this is set to change. The long-termplan 2015-2025 had $33 million allocated for renewing assets and a further $25 million to provide new play opportunities. Visit shapeauckland.co.nz to have you say before July 10.
