Auck­lan­ders will be able to cel­e­brate the Black Ferns’ Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 vic­tory at a free pub­lic event on Septem­ber 28 at the Voda­fone Events Cen­tre in Manukau. Auck­land mayor Phil Goff said the cel­e­bra­tion would be a chance for Auck­lan­ders to show how proud they were of the team, and ac­knowl­edge their on­go­ing suc­cess on the world stage. The cel­e­bra­tion will run from 11am to 1pm. The Black Ferns will bring the Women’s Rugby World Cup win­ners’ tro­phy and share their suc­cess with friends, fam­ily and fans. The Auck­land event will be livestreamed to al­low fans around New Zealand to en­joy the cel­e­bra­tions.
