Dear Ljubenka...

-

I am really self-conscious about my arms. I always end up wearing the same full-sleeve T-shirts to try and hide them. I want to start wearing things that are fun and stylish but won’t draw too much attention to my arms. What do you suggest?

If your arms aren’t your favourite asset, finding clothes that fit well, give enough coverage, yet are fun and make us feel confident, can be hard. I find the most flattering point for a sleeve to end is just above your elbow, as it draws the eye to the slimmer part of your arm. Wearing darker colours on your top half can help you disguise your arms too. Bold accessories [see previous pages] are also great as they can help divert the eye to other parts of your body. Experiment and don’t be afraid to go into a store and try on a lot of different tops with different arm lengths. You’ll soon discover what works for you. Have fun with it!

Thanks to Rose & Thorne, we have one $150 voucher to give away to the reader whose fashion question is published in our September issue. Send your curvy-style fashion questions to fuller-figure model Ljubenka Milunovic at awweditor@bauermedia.co.nz, with the subject line ‘Ask Ljubenka’.
