JOINT RELIEF

An Otago university study has found a natural plant-based herbal extract that is scientifically proven to relieve the pain of osteoarthritis. The 12-week randomised, controlled trial studied the effectiveness of New Zealand-manufactured Arthrem, which is extracted from the plant Artemisia annua. The results, published in the journal Clinical Rheumatology, found trial participants with hip or knee osteoarthritis had reduced pain and stiffness and an increased ability to move after taking Arthrem.
