Yule logs

The Tio de Nadal (Christmas log) or Caga Tio (Pooping Log) is a festive tradition in Catalonia, Spain. This hollow log with a smiling face will have been “fed” nuts, sweets and dried fruit all December and covered with a blanket to keep him warm. Then on Christmas Eve he is walloped until he poops out all his treats. He is even sung to while being beaten to ensure all treats are expelled.
