RED, RED WINE
Red wine may have yet another health benefit, although this one does not involve drinking the wine. Tammy Dugas, a US university professor in Comparative Biomedical Sciences, has found it beneficial in treating heart disease. She has discovered that two antioxidants in red wine – resveratrol and quercetin – can be utilised during coronary angioplasty to promote healing, reduce inflammation and help prevent blood clotting.
