Villainous Richard Hillman

Five times married Gail is Corrie’s most unlucky in love character. But never did she make a worse decision than when she married serial killer Richard Hillman. Smooth-talking Richard – dubbed by Gail as “Norman Bates with a briefcase” - went on a murderous spree, killing hairdresser and new mum Maxine Peacock and his ex-wife Patricia Hillman during his reign of terror from 2001 to 2003. He was finally exposed by Gail and attempted to gas his family inside a car before crashing it into the canal where he died. It seemed like the Platt family was finally free of the madman once and for all. But not so: evil Richard is set to make a re-appearance in upcoming Corrie episodes, haunting Gail after she pays a visit to a clairvoyant.
