Jack and Vera’s final moment

When they were at their finest, nothing could beat a Jack and Vera scene on Coronation Street. Throughout their

25-year union, they provided the show with some of the funniest and most fraught moments and remain one of the most iconic partnerings in TV history. But the beloved couple truly saved their best for last. In their final scene together in 2010, Jack finally succumbs to cancer and Vera – who died on the show two years earlier – visits him as a ghost. In their living room, they joke together then share a tender kiss and hug before dancing to Matt Monro’s song Softly as I Leave You in one another’s arms. Corrie at its best.
