KILLING EVE (BBC AMERICA/ TVNZ ON DEMAND) Starring Sanda Oh. Created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Based on the Luke Jennings book series Codename Villanelle, it took only the first 10 minutes of Killing Eve to know this was a show for me. Crisp, funny, eclectic dialogue; flawed, feisty and downright loopy characters, Killing Eve is one of those out-of-thebox kind of stories which from the outside could pass as run-of-the-mill. Sandra Oh is Eve, an under-utilised desk-bound MI6 agent who cottons onto the antics of a master assassin slaying her way around a plethora of European destinations, leaving bodies in her wake. An enormously entertaining game of cat and mouse ensues, but which is which soon becomes unclear. Eight episodes in this first season crackle along with vim and vigour, and I urge you to add this one to your Must-Binge-Right-Away list.
