Maple-glazed nuts

At Christ­mas I’ll fill lit­tle bowls with mor­eish snacks like these can­died nuts, to have around the house on Christ­mas morn­ing or on the dessert ta­ble. These are good on their own, but also great for gar­nish­ing and adding tex­ture to desserts. You can use al­monds, pecans, cashews, macadamias or any other kind of whole nuts. If us­ing hazel­nuts, re­move most of the skins first. READY IN 15 MIN­UTES MAKES 1 CUP 1 cup nuts, such as wal­nuts or al­monds 2 tbsp maple syrup 1 Pre­heat oven to 180˚C fan­bake and line an oven tray with bak­ing pa­per. 2 Place the nuts in a bowl, add the maple syrup and toss to coat. Spread out in a sin­gle layer on the pre­pared tray and bake un­til the syrup has set and the nuts are crunchy (10-12 min­utes).
