At Christmas I’ll fill little bowls with moreish snacks like these candied nuts, to have around the house on Christmas morning or on the dessert table. These are good on their own, but also great for garnishing and adding texture to desserts. You can use almonds, pecans, cashews, macadamias or any other kind of whole nuts. If using hazelnuts, remove most of the skins first. READY IN 15 MINUTES MAKES 1 CUP 1 cup nuts, such as walnuts or almonds 2 tbsp maple syrup 1 Preheat oven to 180˚C fanbake and line an oven tray with baking paper. 2 Place the nuts in a bowl, add the maple syrup and toss to coat.
