Chlorine, salt and sun can really do a number on hair. Prevent damage by wetting your hair before you take a dip. Dry hair is porous, so it will absorb the fresh water first, creating a barrier. Alternatively, a little hair oil on the ends will help. Once a week, apply a nourishing, hydrating hair mask. Coloured hair can fade more quickly in summer so a protective shampoo and conditioner is a good idea. A gentle option loaded with keratin will strengthen locks from the inside out and help smooth strands.
