INSPIRATIONS:
TV journalist Rebecca Wright
My favourite meal to cook is… Spaghetti amatriciana. I learnt to make it from scratch while on holiday on the FrenchItalian border. I was 18 and it’s served me well ever since. I make a mountain of it and eat it for days afterwards, including for breakfast.
A great book I recently read is… The Power of Showing Up – a parenting book about how children’s brains become wired. It’s simple, honest, empathetic, research-based advice. The holy grail for me amid a sea of competing theories about parenting.
My fondest childhood memory is… Afternoons riding a very unpredictable horse in the Ohariu Valley. At times idyllic, other times terrifying, but I had a soft spot for that horse and its unusual temperament.
If I had to choose another career… I’d be a spy, no question – it’s my back-up.
If I could star in anything it would be… That American Ninja Warrior programme. I do not know why, but it’s transfixing to watch.
I would spend my last day on earth… Trawling the aisles at a French supermarket – one of those giant ones selling everything from beautiful lace knickers to baguettes. It’s a journey of anticipation and discovery!
My number one pick for a karaoke song is… Under no circumstances do I karaoke.
THE THREE WORDS I WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE MYSELF ARE...
Curious, resourceful, observant.
