Inspired by...

- Radio star Jeanette Thomas hosts The Breeze’s breakfast show, weekdays from 6am.

My favourite thing about this time of year is…

Bluesky days with single-digit temperatures.

When I’m not working, I can be found…

Walking my dogs. I have a couple of rescues, Benny, a beautiful mix of who-knows-what, and Sam, a gorgeous bearded collie.

My favourite meal to cook is…

This changes all the time, but as of this week, roast vegetable soup finished off with a bottle of cream – delicious!

The three words I would use to describe myself are…

Empathetic, organised and ever-so-slightly anxious – the anxiety I’m blaming on perimenopause!

Top of my priorities for self-care is…

Sleep. I am permanently sleep-deprived because of the hours I work, so I try to catch up in the weekends. But even at 6am on a Saturday, my body clock says it’s time to get up – that’s technically a threehour sleep-in, so I guess it’s a win!

A great show I recently watched was…

Mare of Easttown.

Outstanding! Give Kate Winslet all of

the awards!

Life is too short for…

High heels! Sneakers

every day.

The film I always remember is…

Die Hard. No judgement please! It’s a Christmas movie and I won’t have it any other way. I don’t feel remotely festive until I’ve seen Hans Gruber falling out of the Nakatomi Plaza at the hands of John McClane. When I first saw it at age 15, in 1988, I thought Bruce Willis was kinda cute and now, at age 48, I still kinda do.

My go-to karaoke song would be…

Horrendous to listen to because I cannot sing, but that aside, I’d attempt to smash out Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.

When I’m working hard, I unwind by…

Listening to true-crime podcasts, walking my dogs and baking. I love to bake, but I’m not great at following recipes – I’m more a make-it-up-as-Igo kinda girl, which doesn’t always work.

I would spend my last day on Earth…

With my family and animals.

My fondest childhood memory is…

My mum being on the sideline of every netball game I ever played.

At the moment, I’m most looking forward to…

Travelling again!

The greatest joy about what I do is…

Hopefully bringing moments of fun, joy and laughter to people’s mornings – maybe even making a difference from time to time. It’s definitely a privilege to do the job I do.

Top of my bucket list is… New York City, but I fear it may be some time until I get to tick it off.
