Jewelled chocolate discs

You don’t need a recipe to make gorgeous chocolate discs. It’s about getting creative and using your favourite flavours and textures. 540g good quality milk, dark or white chocolate, chopped

TOPPINGS flaked coconut and macadamias freeze-dried strawberri­es (sliced) and white chocolate crisp pearls pretzels and Caramilk baking chips

Lotus biscuit and naked ginger ruby chocolate callets, goji berries and bronze cachous 1 Prepare the toppings that you would like to use.

2 Place the chocolate in a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave uncovered on MEDIUM (50%) power for 2 minutes. Stir gently with a clean dry spatula. Repeat the process in 30-second intervals until melted. Cool chocolate slightly at room temperatur­e for about 5 minutes.

3 Place a round of baking paper into the base of 9cm x 8cm (base measuremen­t) loose-based tartlet tins. Divide the melted chocolate among tins and tap tins gently to level the surface. 4 Working quickly before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with your desired toppings. Allow to set completely then refrigerat­e for 30 minutes before turning out.

5 Wrap chocolate gifts in cellophane for gifting or recycled jars. Not suitable to freeze.
