Do you believe everyone has a soulmate?

I do, 100 per cent. But you can have more than one and they don’t all have to be romantic. My mum is my soulmate. My best friend too. And my dog. Well, she’s my soulmate, but I’m not hers – she just puts up with me!

How much do you worry about what others think?

It occupies a huge amount of brain space. I worry about it. I’m working on being curious without the worry.

When was the last time you were out of your comfort zone?

I’m pretty uncomfortable most of the time. I just fake it really well. Fake it till you make it, as they say. Still faking it!

How do you know you’re in love?

You send all the messages that you were going to send to them to your friends first – drafted from notes on your iPhone.

What movie do you watch over and over again? I watch Alien every year on my birthday.

What in life gets you really excited? Surf. Good surf.

Have you ever had a hairdo you regretted?

I never regret them at the time. I thought I absolutely smashed it out of the park with some choices. But I’d say the 1994 bowl cut [see pic left] was the worst. And then it grew out and did not improve.

What is something you have kept for sentimental reasons?

My niece’s baby sock. We lived in different countries when she was little, so

I stole it from her dresser and took it home to snuggle with. I still have it.

What’s the greatest invention of all time?

I think the wheel seems to be going pretty strong still.

What are you absolutely hopeless at?

Filling out forms, maths and putting together a flat pack cabinet.

What is your biggest weakness?

Self-confidence. And Cheetos Puffs.

What’s always in your fridge?

Chilli oil.

What do you think stands in the way of people realising their dreams?

I try not to think about what could stop people. So much can – it can stop people from trying. A lot of it is luck and circumstance. I just try to hope for the best these days.

What lesson have you learnt from a past relationship?

I can back a trailer pretty good.

What is your greatest achievement in life?

I’m a really amazing aunty.
