Village choir in the mood for love
LOVE was in the air at Bayswater retirement village earlier this month.
The village choir put on a concert singing songs of love and poetry dedicated to the theme of love.
Moods of Lovewas performed
by the 40-strong choir who came dressed in their finest.
They belted out classic love
songs such as I Just Called to Say I Love You, Let me be the One, Yesterday, Country Road, Close your Eyes, Magic Moments and more.
Choirmembers ranged in age from 70, 80 through to 90s.
Coreen Gray, 94, from the Oriana Singers was on the piano. She mastered the 16 new songs especially for Moods of Love.
Choir conductor was Shirley Paul who has organised seven major productions at Bayswater already.
Resident Brian Cotter says each production usually involves organising up to 50 residents in various roles tomake it happen.
The songs were interspersed with poetry of the heart as well.
