Staff join in beach clean-up

Ray White Pa­pamoa and Mt Maun­ganui staff joined­mem­bers of the pub­lic and the lo­cal fire crew last week to clean up the Pa­pamoa Do­main and Tay Street Beach. More than 60 peo­ple joined forces pick­ing up rub­bish and busi­ness owner Greg Pur­cell says it was im­por­tant to get in­volved. “Our en­vi­ron­ment is pre­cious and we need to be proac­tive in look­ing af­ter it, with all the pho­tos on so­cial me­dia of plas­tic waste pol­lut­ing the oceans we are play­ing our part in be­ing ‘Yel­low but Green’.” In Au­gust the com­pany bought 3000 re­us­able shop­ping bags to give away to help elim­i­nate plas­tic waste. It still has some to give away which can be col­lected at their of­fices.
