Don’t give a kitten at Xmas
Kittens are here! We are slowly starting to get a flow of kittens in adoption now. We currently have 80 kittens of all ages and weights in our care, all being loved and cared for until they are old enough to be de-sexed and available. If you are thinking of adopting a kitten make the SPCA your first choice. Our adoption fee is $115, each kitten is vet checked, had a flea and worm treatment, a vaccination, de-sexed, micro-chipped and is registered on the NZ Companion Animal Register.
Although we love you to adopt any of our animals, please don’t think about adopting one as a gift for someone. We will not adopt you an animal if that person has not come in and met it first— itmay be an unwanted pet!
Please make sure the person meets the animal first and can choose for themselves. We can do vouchers for the cost of an adoption, so you can give the voucher as a present — still a surprise, but that person can come in when they are ready and choose the animal that suits them. We like to think animals pick their owners.
The Tauranga SPCA will be closed to the public only on December 25-26 and January 1-2. Please call us on 578 0245 for further information or any animal welfare concerns.
